Chattooga High students earned a
number of awards during the annual
District VII AAA Literary Meet held
Saturday in Waleska. Awards included
first place, girls piano, Mina Suzuki; third
place, girls essay, Melanie Dillard; third
place, girls trio, Kris Dawson, Krista Gar
mon and Cheri Teague; fourth place, one

district meet held last weekend in

Mina Suzuki was the first place
winner in girls piano competi
tion. Miss Suzuki will repre
sent the district in state finals
to be held in Macon later this
spring.
Winning third place in girls
essay was Melanie Dillard. The
CHS Girls Trio won third place
from a field of 13 schools. Trio
members are Kris Dawson,
Krista Garmon and Cheri
Teague.
Chattooga High School also
placed fourth in the one-act
play. *“A Cup of Tea" was
presented by Lane Hosmer,
Clarke Hair, Deanne Swann
and Kerry Calhoun.
