Speed Bumps
On Martin Street
The City of Summerville placed speed
ramps at two locations on Martin Street
Monday in an effort to reduce speeding
along the stretch. Residents along the
street had asked for the bumps. Warning
signs were placed on either side of the
bumps. Bill Young and Avery Pierce are
shown placing asphalt for the bumps.
Looking on are police chief Arlen Thomas
and Harold Tucker, sugerintendent. In
the other photo, Pierce hammers down a
sign while Young, Tucker and Billy
Knowles watch. (Staff Photos).
