The Saturday show will
begin at 4 p.m. while the Sun

p.m.
Dallas Gregory is the stage
name of Greg Cranford, a
native of nearby Rome.
He has been the subject of
a number of articles in Nor
thwest Georgia area
newspapers since his move to
Nashvifie. He got his start
singing gospel music and then
graduated to playing for wed
dings, divic events and
charities, as well as small clubs
in Northwest Georgia.
After moving to Nashville,
he performed with some of the
top names in country music, in
cluding Dolly Parton, Bill
Anderson, Chet Atkins and
gospel fireat Martha Carson,
who will perform on Oct. 24
and 25 in Calhoun.
He has performed on the
Grand Ole Opry, and at Or
%yland, the Os)ryland Hotel, on
he Nashville Network, on
Nashville's Future Stars televi
sion show, the highly rated
Ralph Emory Morning Show
on WSMV t;?;vision and at the
famous Nashville Stockyard.

rending ‘‘One Man'' about the
late Congressman Larry
McDonald and the Soviet at
tack on KAL 007 on Sept. 1,
1983.
Red Cross Cites
Trion Students
Although the American
Red Cross missed its goal by
three %ints. it was stilldpleased
with the turnout Monday dur
ing a blood drive in Trion.
Jean Lambert, blood ser
vices coordinator for the Red
Cross, said 62 potential donors
showed up for the drive, which
was held in the Trion Com
munity Center. A fioal of 64
?otemial donors had been set
or the drive. Forty-nine pints
of blood were donated, only
three pints shy of the 52-pint
goal.
“We had a very good tur
nout,” Mrs. Lambert said.
Trion High students came in
for high praise from the Red
Cross official. Of the 62 poten
tial donors, all but six were
students at Trion High, which
is located adjacent to the
Center.
The second drive in the
week was also held Wednesday
afternoon and evening at the

18 Raise $1,160 For St. Jude
A total of 18 children rais
ed $1,160 during the Summer
ville Bike-A-Thon for St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital
held at Chattooga High Scfl(ml.
Children from Summerville,
Pennville, Menlo and Trion
participated in the ride, many
pedaling ur to 30 laps around
the one-mile course. Each par
ticipant will receive a tee-shirt.
A number of the riders raised
$75 or more, qualifying for a
back pack and tee-shirt.
