Assistance has asked its pro
viders to delay the delivery of
non-critical services until j' uly
1 or after.
This has been requested
because of the department's
tight budget at the end of the
fiscal year, said Chris Money,
director of Chatto%ga County's

Chattooga County Lawmen Probe Area Thefts

ment. Officers also arrested a
Trion woman on shoplifting
charges Wednesday in connec
tion with an incident at an all
night convenience store.

Friday and Sunday, said Lt.
Houston London and officer
Grady Allen. Allen found the
mower at the city dog pound
on Red Oak Road.

An elderly black man was
reported to have stolen bars of
soap from Dollar General
Store, Summerville, last Satur
day, said police. The store
decided not to prosecute the
suspect, reports said.
The Chattooga County
Sheriff's Department and Sum
merville police recovered a Jeep
stolen from Joseph Jackson
Used Cars, North Commerce
Street, Summerville, Monday
night, said reports. It was
recovered on Tuesday.
