Miss Cynthia Michelle
Money and Larry Lynn Wilson
were united in marriage June 4
at South Summerville Baptist
Church. The Rev. Jimmy C.
Bryant performed the
ceremony. :
Michelle is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Terry C. Money,
Summerville. Larry is the son
of Betty J. Wilson, Trion, and
Robert G. Wilson, Trion.
The bride’'s grandparents
are Edna Parrish, Menlo, and
the late J. W. Parrish, Julia
Money, Summerville, and the
late Fred R. Money. The great
grandparents are Willie Par
rish, Menlo, and the late R. D.
Parrish. The groom’s grand
parents are the late Mr. and
Mrs. Clyde Hollingsworth and
the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie
Wilson.
The bride, given in mar
riage by her parents and
escorted by her &ther, wore a
formal gown of white tissue
taffeta designed with a
neckline and ‘puff sleeves top
ped by Dior bows studded with
seed pearls. The sculptured
Basgue style bodice was appli
qued with seed pearls. Motifs
of lace, with Dior bows, caught
the scalloped ruffled bouffant
skirt which swept back into a
ruffled cathedrafi) length train.
The bride wore a Eeadpiece
of lace caplet of silk organza or
chids with pearl sprays
cascading with a fingertip veil.
She carried a casca(?e made of
white satin roses, silk organza
orchids and irridescent pearls.
Sprays of satin stephanotis
with miniature spring flowers
were featured.
The groom wore a white
tuxedo with tails. He wore a
silk organza rosebud with
miniature sprinf flowers which
complemented the bridal
bouquet.
The focal point of the altar
was a brass tree candelabra.
Black iron candelabra with hur
ricane globes enhanced the
altar. Fern stands with daisies
and mums accented the altar.
Bird cage holding two doves
enhanced the ceremony. The
walkway to the altar had tree
candelabras on both sides. Two
white candelabras holding
white taper candles also ac
cented tge altar. Two black
candelabra with multi-color
bows also enhanced the altar.
All candelabras were adorned
with leatherleaf greenery.
The windows were
decorated with leatherleaf fern
with brass candlesticks and
doves.
The pews were marked with
an aislemarker holding a hur
ricane globe with bows and
flowers.
Miss Tiffany Tinney at
tended the registry table. The
table was covered with ivory
lace Ecru over an ivory satin
lining accented by a wicker
basket with baby's breath and
ferns with a single candlestick
surrounded with white wed
ding bells. On either side of the
registry book were white
wicker baskets holding pro
grams: and keepsake satin
ribbons.
The. processional was
“Bridal Chorus’’ from
Lohegrin; the recessional was
the \%’redding March from a
“Midnight Summer's Dream”
Felix NFendelssohn. ;
Prelude music was provid
ed by Mrs. Karen Gaines, Sum
merville. Miss Aqfiela L.
Johnson, Summerville, and
Cliff Cordle, Trion, provided
the music throughout the
ceremony which included
“There Is Love,’ after the
mother's were seated,
““Honestly,” ‘‘Endless Love,
“Through the Years,” *“The
Lord's lgrayer" and ‘‘Always.
Mrs. Holly Maxwell, Sum
merville, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Tanly;a
Dooley, Trion, Mrs. Kathy
Pierce, Summerville, Mrs.
Missy Sterner, Trion, and Miss
Janice Tudor, Lyerly.
The bridesmaids wore
Atlantic blue taffeta floor
length gowns. The gowns
featured a fitted bodice with a
full skirt and puff sleeves with
ruffles. The gridesmaids car
ried bouquets of fresh flowers
with stain ribbons.
Terry Tinney, cousin of the
groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were Raynard
Adams, Trion, Barry Bridges,
Summerville, Mike Money,
brother of bride, Summerville,
and Bobby Wilbanks, Trion.
The groomsmen wore grey
tuxedos with French cable
coats and matching trousers.
Each wore a bow tie, cummer
bund and flowers to match the
bridesmaids dresses. Candles
were lighted by Joe Money,
cousin of the bride, Summer
ville; and Ryan Willingham,
Trion.
The mother of the bride
wore a street length dress of
peach crepe. The mother of the
groom also chosé a peacH street
length dress. They each wore a
corsage of peach colored
sweetheart roses.
The grandmothers of the
bridal couple wore corsages of
white orchids.
The flower girls were
Brooke Sterner, Trion, and
Keisha Wilson, niece of the
groom, also of Trion. They
wore floor length gowns of
Atlantic blue taffeta identical
to the bridesmaids. They each
carried white wicker baskets
with red rose petals.
The ringbearer was Shane
Tinney, nephew of the groom.
He wore a grey tuxedo with
Atlantic blue bow tie, cummer
bund and flowers. He carried a
white satin pillow trimmed in
lace and Atfimtic blue bows.
Immediately following the
ceremony, the bride's parents
entertained with a reception in
the fellowship hall at the
church. The focal point of the
reception featured the bride's
table which was covered with
a white lace satin cloth trimm
ed in lace holding a two-tiered
column cake atop a flowin
fountain, adorne(f with fresfi
flowers. The cake was accented
with lavendar drop flowers and
a white weé)ding bell
centerpiece.
The focal point of the recep
tion table covered in a white
satin cloth with lace overlay
featured an arrangement of
multi-colored spring flowers.
Also served were sausage balls,
cheese wafers, nuts, mints and
gunch from a fruit bowl made
Vy Ms. Edna Parris and
irginia Cooper.
Servers included Beth
Bryant, Summerville; Cathy
McCary, sister of groom, Trion;
Judy Tinney, sister of groom,
Trion; Penny and Tammy
Weems, cousins of the bride,
Jacksonville, Ala.
Rice bags were distributed
by Brooke and Matt Maxwell,
Summerville.
The wedding was directed
by Esther Bryant, Summer
ville.
After a honeymoon in Ten
nessee, the coupKe will reside in
Welcome Hill.

Held In Summerville

united in marriage June 4 at
Summerville First Baptist
Church. The Rev. Jack Co?well
performed the double-ring
ceremony.
Susan is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert g Head,
Summerville. John is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Blaine F. Evans,
Boise, Idaho.
Miss Linda McDowell,
Dallas, Texas, was maid of
honor. Mrs. Joanna Lively, Bir
mingham, Ala., served as
matron of honor and Mrs.
Susan Reeves, Charlotte, N. C.,
Miss Laura Stephenson, Sum
merville, Mrs. Felicia Deese,
Dallas, Texas, Miss Robbin
Benson, Atlanta, Mrs. Andria
Buckberger, Bellevue,
Washinfion, and Mrs. Tianna
Stanek, New Orleans, La., were
bridesmaids.
Bruce Buckberger,
Bellevue, Wash., served as gest
man. Frank Stanek, New
Orleans, Mike Head, Summer
ville, and Dave Evans, Denver,
Colo., were groomsmen.
The bride's book was over
seen by Miss Leigh Estes, Bir
mingham, Ala.,, Miss Mandy
Stanek and Miss Alesha
Buckberger were flower girls
and Joseph Thigpen was
ringbearer.
Musicians included Eugene
McGinnis, organist; Beth Ken
drick, pianist; Linda
McDowell, Cindy Huey, Pat
Carlin and Paul Carlin, soloists.
Sgecial music was played
by the organist and pianist.
The solos were ‘‘Household of
Faith,” “Ice Castles,” ‘““He Has
Chosen You For Me,” and
“The Lord’s Prayer.”
The bride chose a formal
gown of white satin designed
with a fitted basque style
bodice, encrusted with ribbon
lace, irridescents and pearls.
The V-neck and the short tuli
sleeves were edged witK
scalloped ribbon lace and ac
cente(f with pearl drops. A Dior
bow accented the back of the
softly gathered skirt with a
wide band of scalloped lace
that extended into a chapel
length train.
Her fingertip veil of im
ported illusion was attached to
a band of lace, silk flowers with
a cascade of pearl drops and
silk flowers framing her face.
She carried a cascading bou
quet of philaenopsis orchids
and white sweetheart roses ac
cented with tube roses and
baby’s breath.
For her attendants, she
chose formal gowns of daphne
rose taffeta designed with a fit
ted bodice and a scooped
neckline with a keyhole in back
accented with matching bows.
The puffed sleeves were also
decorated with bows. Each
bridesmaid carried a loose
nosegay of baby carnations
and white sweetheart roses ac
cented by baby's breath and
ivy.
yThe groom and his
groomsmen each wore tradi
tional black tuxedos with a
white wini collar shirt ac
cented with a black tie and
cummerbund. They also wore
boutonnieres of white
sweetheart roses.
The bride's mother chose a
formal gown of rose sachet
crepe designed with an
overblouse, a small collar of
bugal beads and sequins. The
groom's mother wore a formal
gown of Ipleat,ed satin enhanc
ed by a lacewverlay.
The reception was held at
Penn Place, home of Mr. and
Mrs. William Penn Selman.
Guests were greeted by Mrs.
Helen F‘l(R'd. Mrs. Dora Ann
Lanier and Mrs. Dorothy Ken
nedy, as they waited to con
gratulate the bride and groom.
Musical entertainment was
provided by a Harpist.
Refreshments were served in
the formal dining area and con
sisted of various appetisers,
freshly baked turkey, con
diments, wedding cake,
groom’s cake, punch and cham
pagne. Miss Kathy Floyd, Mrs.

tificate of Commendation while
serving at Marine Corps Air
Station, Beaufort, S. C.
Kovacs was awarded the
citation for outstanding
achievement as Sailor of the
Quarter. He was chosen from
among all the sailors assigned
to the command, and was cited
for his outstanding perfor
mance of duty, proficiency,
leadership, initiative and
military bearing.
