NOTICE
Under orders from the State EPD Board, we will begin
phasing out the present landfill on the Penn Bridge
Road immediately after October 1, 1988. This notice
is to inform all private haulers of garbage and all in
dustries dumping refuse in the Chattooga County land
fill that no dumping will be allowed after October 1, 1988
in Chattooga County landfill, with the exception of the
City of Summerville, who owns the land and Chattooga
County, who operates the landfill. Small amounts such
as pick-up truck loads and loads carried in automobiles
will be allowed to be dumped at Chattooga County land
fill until a new site has been approved, purchased and
opened for solid waste landfill material.

(Georgia Laws 1965, Page 2899) sealed bids will be
received by the Chattooga County Commissioner. Said
bids must be sealed with the words ‘‘Sealed Bid’’ writ
ten across the outside of the envelope and received
in the office of the Commissioner in the Chattooga
County Courthouse, Summerville, Georgia, on or
before 10:00 o’clock a.m. October 7, 1988, at which
time bids will be opened.
The Commissioner reserves the right to purchase
any or all items on bid at the offered price. Also, the
Commissioner reserves the right to reject any and all
