Rev. Noble
Will Speak
At Revival
The Rev. Jerry Noble will
be the guest speaker during
revival services at Summerville
Church of God, Rome
Boulevard, Sunday through
next Wednesday. Services will
begin daily at 7:30 p.m.
The Rev. Noble &eveland,
Tenn., is an evangeiist with the
Church of God.
He has also served his
church as associate director for
radio and television for 10
years, and was heard weekly on
some 500 radio stations
through the ‘“‘Forward In
Faith” broadcast. In 1982, he
assisted Carl Richardson in
launching a nationwide weekly
television ministry, ‘‘Power
Unlimited,” which was seen in
all 50 states on more than
1,000 television stations and
cable systems.
The Rev. Noble has served
as a pastor and district
overseer as well as on various
boards and committees for his
denomination. He was also
commissioned to evangelize for
six months in the Republic of
South Africa.
Noble has produced and
recorded various inspirational
cassette products such as,

mises From Godl,)’ “The Word
of Faith,” and {The Word On
Worship.”” He and his wife,
Paula, gave recorded various
gosalel albums.

area with his wife and three

Homecoming
Set Sunday
Homecoming will be held
Sunday at Summerville First
United Methodist Church,
West Washin%on Avenue.
The Rev. Henry Walker,
Augusta, will speak during the
11 a.m. worship service. He
was minister of the church
from 1948-52 and he is the
oldest living former pastor of
the church.
A covered dish luncheon
will be served following the
morning worship service.
All friends and former
members are invited.
Benefit Singing
Set On Saturday
A benefit singing will be
held at 7 p.m. Saturdais"l at Ber
gton Faith Temple Holiness
hurch.
Hot dogs, chili, pinto beans,
cornbread, cakes, coffee and
soft drinks will be sold beginn
ing at 7 p.m.
Featured will be the Glory
bound Singers, Gaylesville,
Ala., and the Charles Teague
Family, Lyerly, and others.
Menlo UMC
Homecoming
Homecoming will be held at
Menlo United Methodist
Church on Sunday, Oct. 9. Sun
day School will begin at 10 a.m.
and preaching at 11 a.m.
A coveref dish dinner will
be served following the morn
ing services.

Benefit Sing Set
A benefit singing will be
held at 7 p.m. Saturday at
First Born Church of God,
Roberts Street. Proceeds will
benefit Dillard Craig, a cancer
patient. Refreshments will go
on sale at 5 p.m.

pastor, invites the public.
