PROPHECY SOON TO BE
Second Thess. 2:1-10 says: For us not to be troubled
about the day of the Lord being near. Paul tells us,
that day shall not come until the departure comes first
and then the man of sin will be revealed. The lawless
one cannot be revealed until the body of Christ, in
dwelt by the spirit, be taken out. Thus we see that the
body of Christ indwelt by the spirit is the hinderer.

“And whatsoever we ask,
we receive of him, because
mIBL we keep his commandments,
El IIE and do those things that are
: pleasing in his might.”
; X I JOHN 3:22
5 _;_j‘-:lf“’f:-;:"‘-’-
“And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him . .."” That the
God of Heaven and Earth not only hears prayer, but has pro
mised to grant them should fill those who would be His
disciples with a great awe and wonder. But it's hard to think
about the mind-staggering significance of this promise without
the question “why?" coming to mind. WHY would God
Almighty, before whom we are as nothing, want to grant our
prayers? In today's insight verse, John tells us one of the
reasons.
“. .. Because we keep His commandments, and do those
things that are pleasing in His sight.”” Why does God want
to grant the prayers of those who are christians? Because they
seek to please God in all that they do! They aren't interested
in pleasing or entertainir:fi themselves in worshl(}) — they're
interester(’jgin pleasing God! They re not interested in devising
their own church creeds and practices — they're interested in
obeying the commands that God has given! And John says
that is why God will grant the prayers of christians!
The promise that God will hear and grant prayer can be
ours as well, if we will only put aside the creeds and doctrines
of men that divide us, and keep the commandments of God
— doing those things which are pleasing in His sight. Puttil;F
our trust, not in the words of men, but in what God has reveal
ed to us in the pages of His inspired word — THE BIBLE!
