vices (DHHS), Administration for Children
and Families (ACF), Office of Family Suppor
tive Services (FSS), is soliciting expressions of
interest from Georgia public or private non
profit entities, such as civic, religious, school
systems, eommunit{lacfim agencies or units
of government which are interested in
?enfing Head Start in Catoosa, Chattooga,
ade, Murray, Walker and Whitfield Counties,
Georgia. The Head Start program provides
comprehensive services to pre-school (3, 4 and
5 year old) children and their families. These
services include education, health, social ser
vices and parent involvement.
This solicitation of interest is to find a
replacement grantee for the Head Start g:o
gram previously operated in Catoosa, Chat
tooga, Dade, Murray, Walker and Whitfield
Counties by Northwest Geor%:ervm Inc.
Applications will be accepted Head Start
programs or other agencies with operations in
contifuous counties. Applications must
significantly involve parents and area
residents in the preliminary Head Start pro
gram planning stages. 2
Final proposals must demonstrate the abili
ty of the applicant to provide Head Start Ser
vices in Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Murray,
Walker and Whitfield Counties in accordance
with the Head Start Performance Standards
and other Federal and State regulations. The
minimum acceptable enrollment is 620 with a
Federal funding level of $2,055,686 and a 20
percent local match requirement.

The Coosa Valley Regional Center is seeking detailed proposals from qualiiied
certified public accountants for providing comprehensive audit services for the fiscal
years ending June 30, 1994, 1995 and 1996. The Coosa Valley RDC is located in Rome,
GA and is a local government agency responsible for various services in a ten county
area. It employs 35 staff and has an annual budget of approximately $9 million.
