careers, exchange ideas, and
discuss ways to resolve family,
social and professional
conflicts.

Academy Grads

dox will address 26 candidates
for graduation from the Floyd
Colfirfil Police Academy at 1
p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in Room
B-333. The graduates will be
certified as police officers hav

w of training, according to
Tom Stone, director of the
academy.
Of the 26 candidates for
graduation; 21 are currently
employed by local government
agencies and are fulfilling the
state requirement which states
that anyone entering the field
of law enforcement with arrest
powers must receive training
within six months from the
date of entry. The other five
candidates in the program are
pre-service trainees.
Two Chattooga Countians
are among the graduates, in
cluding Corporal Kevin Woods
of the Summerville Police
Department, and Samuel A.
Eaton Jr., pre-service, Trion.
The Floyd College Police
Academy serves 16 counties in
Northwest Georgia. It is one of
14 police academies in Georgia.
The academy is regulated by
the Peace Officers Standards
and Training Council (POST),
a state agency.

ministration degree from the
University of Alabama at Bir
ingham recently.

point average.
She is the daughter of
Albert and Grace Ingli and the
sister of ernne Ingle at
Gaylesville, Ala., residents.
She is a 1979 graduate of
Trion High School and receiv
ed a bachelor of science degree
in computer science from
Jacksonville State University
in 1983.
She and her husband,
Phillip, live in Hoover, Ala.,
and are both employed by Bell-
South Telecommunications.
Wetland Meet
The Georgia %artment of
Transportation will hold one in
a series of wetland mitigation
seminars in Rome next month
for Northwest Georgians.
It will be held in the Rome
Civic Center on March 28, star
ting at 6:30 p.m. ;
