18 at his residence.
Mr. Collins was born on
Aug. 2, 1958, in Chattooga
County, son of Thomas Lamar
Collins, Trion and the late Patsy
LuAllen Collins.
His faith was with the

Mrs. Sybil Mozelle Edwards,
76, Highway 100, Summerville,
died Monday in Redmond Re
gional Medical Center.
Mrs. Edwards was born Jan.
4,1924, in Chattooga County, the
daughter of the late Arthur Lee
and Mattie Cathrine Dodd
Norton. She was retired from
Mohawk Industries and a mem
ber of Four Mile Baptist Church.
Her husband, John (Jake)
Edwards, two brothers, Sidney
Norton and Elgin Norton, died
earlier.
Surviving are one son,

Floyd Medical Center, Rome.
Mr. Elrod was a native of

tired from Mount Vernon Mills.

Mr. Ozment was born May
29, 1917, in Cherokee County,
Ala., the son of the late Charles
Henry and Lina Reece Ozment.
He was a farmer, retired from
Riegel Textile and a member of
the Midway Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow,

R. B. Timmons, 78, Thomas
Road, Trion, died Sunday in a
Rome ho%pital.
Mr. Timmons was born in
DeKalb County, Ala., ason of the
late R. L. and Octavia Garmany
Timmons on Jan. 6, 1922. He
was a retired mechanic.
His wife, Rachel Watkins
Timmons; one daughter, Becky
Bethune; two sons, Carlton
Timmons and Tommy
Timmons; and one sister,
Euranell Young, died earlier.
Surviving are five daugh
ters, Betty Lagne, Memphis,

The old bell that awakened employees of Riegel Textile in
the late 1800’s and early 1900's was recently refurbished
and put on display in front of the Slant. McShane Bell
Foundry Co., Baltimore, Md. made the bell for the Trion
