MARVELOUS SUCCESS
The Largest Medical Practice in
the Wide, Wide World.
MANY GREAT CURES!
Prominent Citinrna nt A 1m-
bamit and Month Carolina 4<i»e In
Their Tesllniony Im Regard to I»r*.
R. c. newer.
From the Atlanta Conotitution.
I confess I like great things, es
pecially successful! things. I dislike
failures. 1 would rather shake the
dirty hand of the successful bootblack
than the kid-covered hand of a medical
failure. The day has gone by when
anything cotfhts in medicine (as in
business) but success. The successful
physician, who cures patients when
others fail, will come to the front,
while the unsuccessful doctor will re
main in the rear and abuse him.
Per Laue the largest, moat successful
and <-x ended medical practice of
modern liana is that of Dr. R. C.
Flower’s, of Boston, Maas. This
great practice is operated exclusively
by the Flower Medical Company, in
harmony with the plans and ideas of
Dr. R. C. Flower. The Flower Medi
cal Company employ a large staff of
skilled physicians, but so great has the
practice become that they find it nec
essary to establish permanently in
every state in the union one of their
staff physicians.
Dr. K. C. Flower is the consulting
physician to the staff, directs and
manages the entire practice and in
special cases examines. Patients un- (
able to consult Dr. R. C. Flower per
sonally or visit the central office in ,
Boston, should visit some one of the
Flower Medical Company staff physi- .
cian in his or the state nearest his or (
her home. This staff physician, who (
is thoroughly competent, skilled and ,
equipped, will make a careful scien
tific examineation of the case. He t
can then tel! the patient what can be }
done for him, the time of treatment (
his case will require and what the cost (
will be. If treatment is taken the t
emamining physicians transcribe
immediately a full description of the ,
case to the central office, in Boston, ]
where directly under Dr. R. C. ,
Flower’s management the treatment .
is prepared with full instructions and *
sent directly to the patient. From
now on the patient is treated from «
the office of the Flower Medical Com
pany, all his correspondence is with
the office and he is diretly under the
care of Dr. R. C. Flower.
During my investigation (while in
Boston) of Dr. R. C. Flower’s practice,
I learned that he had at this time up- I
wards of 14,000 patients, and while he *
has every aid he can possibly utilize,
he superintends this vast practice
himself.
In obedience to your instructions, I
have made a thorough investigation
of Dr. R. C. Flower’s practice in Geor
gia, South Carolina and Alabama,
with the following results:
A prominent Atlanta physician said
that in his opinion, Dr. R. C. Flower,
as a physician, had no equal in the
world ; that he was the most wonder
ful man he had ever known ; that he
was a man of great brains, large expe
rience and a most fascinating person
ality and a man endowed with almost
a supernatural hope, which hope be
seemed to implant in the breasts of
all his patients.
I have investigated carefully Dr.
Flower’s practice during the past two
years and am free to confess that his
cures are the most wonderful I have
ever known. Take for example the
case of Mrs. J. D. Clark., of Jones
boro, Ga., a supposed incurable spinal
trouble, double curvature, besides
other serious and almost fatal troubles,
a woman helpless in braces and upon
crutches. The most prominent phy
sicians in Atlanta had treated her, the
hospital had had her for treatment,
and they had all given her up as incur
able. In this helpless suffering and
dying condition, she was brought to
Dr. Flower, when almost, as by magic,
he restored her to perfect health. I
don’t pretend to say how he did it, but
he did it.
The cure from helplessness to the
perfect use of his limbs of the oldest
eon of Hutson Lee, of Charleston, 8.
■C., was of the miraculous nature.
The cures of Brown McCollum and
M.M. Moody, of Long Branch, Ga., the
•one of a cancerous trouble, the other of
consumption of the stomach and
bowels, both far advanced, and the
cure and immediate relief from his
agonies of J. R. Bunn, of Elsie, Ga..
are arguments stronger than words of
the marvelous powers of this wonder
ful man.
I was once in common with others
prejudiced against Pr. Flower, but
that was before I knew him ; no one
can know him and not love him. He
in no way interferes with local or reg
ular practice. He is a specialist and
treats exclusively chronic diseases.
He possesses every facility for treat
ing disease known in modern times.
He has had an experience second to
none, besides the advantage of his in
tuitional method of examination. If
Dr. Flower should establish his south
ern sanitarium in Atlanta (though I
fear his Coumbus friends are making
dangerous inducements to get it), it
it would become, I atn satisfied, from
its opening the greatest health resort
on this continent.
Mrs. Clarence Angier, 267 West
Peachtree street, Atlanta, said : “De.
R. C. Flower cured our little girl of a
most serious and alarming complica
tion of troubles when all efforts had
failed. I was treated by him in the
same successful way. He treated and
cured our dear old mother several
years ago and from that day to this
she has enjoyed a new lease of life.
We consider Dr. Flower the most
wonderful physician living. He has
cured a great many of our friends.
He is a most pleasing gentleman, full
of smile and sunshine and always do
ing something for some one.”
Mrs. W. L. Ezzard, 96 North For
syth street, Atlanta, said : “Dr. R. C.
Flower treated me most successfully
for fatty trouble of the heart, phthisis
and Qervous exhaustion; my treat
ment and cure is a marvel to my
friends.”
Miss Adele Disbro, 51 Currier street,
Atlanta, said: “Dr. Flower cured me
of nervous prostration of years’ stand
ing, after numerous physicians had
failed to help me; he told me my
troubles in detail without asking me
a question.”
A. B. Rivers, Jonesboro, Ga , said :
“That both he and his wife had been
treated by Dr. R. C. Flower for a
serious complication of diseases and
peimanently cured; that he consid
ered Dr. Flower the most wouderful
man of this age.”
Mrs. Sarah Coleman, Jonesboro,
said : “I was treated and cured by
Dr. Flower of stomach and nerve
troubles. When I consulted Dr.
Flower I was a physical wreck ; my
age was against me; I was at death’s
door; no one expected me to live, but
under his treatment my improvement
was quick and permanent.”
Miss Susie Harper, of Jonesboro,
said : “Dr. R. C. Flower cured me of
a heart trouble. I could not lie down,
nor even bea>- the weight of the bed
clothes upon me. Today I am a
sound, well woman.”
Mrs. Barber, of Jonesboro, said ; “I
was miraculously cured by Dr. R. C.
Flower of neuralgia of the heart, ner
vous dyspepsia and kidney troubles,
after other physicians had given me
up as incurable.”
Wilson McMullen, Jonesboro, said :
“I had suffered from catarrh from a
jaby. Recently it had affectsd my
eyes and lungs. I had tried all kinds
of treatment without benefit, but a
ew months under Dr. R. C. Flower’s
treatment I was permanently eured.”
Mr. Humber, of Blanchard, Hum
ber & Co., Columbus, Ga., said:
“When I first saw Dr, R. C. Flower, I
was suffering with indigestion, ner
vousnes and a complication of
troubles. He has made a stout
healthy man of me and I am glad to
tell our people what he did in my
case.”
George L. Wise, 709 Second avenue,
Columbus, Ga., said. “I was at death’s
door and suffering a thousand deaths
from cancer on the face and chronic
inflammation of the bowels. I had
given up all work, had been pro
nounced incurable and was awaiting
death. In this helpless, dying condi
tion I went to Dr. Flower. I began
to improve immediately under his
treatment. I have not known, a sick
day for months, have returned to work,
and am a happy, happy man.”
Mrs. L. A. Andrews, 1036 Third
avenue, Columbus, Ga., said : Dr. R.
C. Flower is the greatest wonder and
blessing this world has ever known,
cured me of a complication of troubles.
I earnestly urge all the sick and suf
fering to go and see Dr. Flower when
local help fails.”
Joseph King, of King <fc Daniels,
Columbus, Ga.. said: “I had been a
great sufferer for years from inflam
matory rheumatism. I had been
treated by the leading physicians in
this section of the country without
any material benefit. I was pro
nounced incurable. In this condi
tion and at a time when I was suffer
ing most terribly, I went to sae Dr. R.
C. Flower during one of his visits to
Columbus. I began to improve it» g
mediately under his treatment —the
pains all left me, my helpless limbs
became the vigorous limbs of a young
man. I am a well man today and
you can say for me that Dr. Flower is
the most wonderful man lever knew.”
A prominent and leading business
man of Columbus, Ga., said : “I have
never been a patient of Dr. R. C.
Flower, but many of my friends have.
I have watched carefully Dr. Flower’s
work, and to me his cures are mirac
ulous. I don’t believe he has ever
had his equal on this earth as a phy
sician. Take for example, the case of
Miss Lizzie Twawick, of 1244 Fifth
avenue, Columbus. She had been for
years a great sufferer from womb
and ovary troubles. She had
THE ARGUS; DALTON. GA., SATURDAY. JANUARY 6. 1894.
, been treated by leading physicians of
this and other cities without relief.
She was advised by several pbysi
i clans to have her ovaries removed by
an operation with every assurance
that the operation would cure her.
■ As a last resort, in despair, an
guish, and suffering, she consented.
The operation was performed by a
prominent surgeon in Macon; but
alas! the operation failed to give her
help. Instead of getting better, she
grew worse, and in this condition, suf
fering a thousand hells of misery, a
physical and mental wreck, she was
taken to Dr. R. C. Flower. The do<-
tor first declined to take the case, but
after listening to her sad history of
long suffering and the way she had
been treated, he said: ‘I will take
your case, my child ; don’t cry, cheer
up. I will stand by you in your suf
fering and between you and death.
Well, sir, Or. Flower took this case and
seemingly with the ease of handling a
toy, he restored this lovely young lady
to perfect health. He changed this
beautiful woman from an asylum of
mental fuin and physical torture and
death into the finest condition of
health I believe of any woman in the
state.”
E. S. Martin, president Georgia-
Alabama Business College, Macon,
Ga., said: “For more than fifteen
years I had suffered from catarrh and
dyspepsia. 1 was wan and emaciated ;
my nerves were all unstrung, and life
seemed one long nightmare of terri
ble suffering. A few months under
Dr. Flower’s treatment has reknit my
nerves, re energized my whole being
and dissipated the gloom, with which
I was enveloped.”
Mrs. J. B, Shiver, jr., 81 Spring
street, Charleston, S. C., said : “I can
truly say that by the skill of Dr. R. C.
Flower, I escaped a most horrible
death. I had had rheumatism for
eight years, but lately it developed
chalky joints. I was informed after
being treated by the leading physi
cians of this city, that there was no
cure for my disease, and that amidst
great suffering I would gradually 7
turn to stone. Besides my continual
suffering, I was helpless, had but little
use of any of my limbs, was suffering
from insomnia and .nervous prostra
tion. In other words, I was a help
less, mined and abandoned wreck. In
this condition I was taken to see Dr.
R. C. Flower, during one of his visits
to Savannah. Under his treatment I
began to improve immediately, and
today I can walk as fast and well as
any one, use my limbs freely ; the
swelling in my joints has disappeared ;
I sleep well, my nerves are strong and
my cure is considered by all my
friends as a miraculous escape from
death.”
Adam Rossler, 127 Market street,
Charleston, 8. C., said Dr. Flower had
successfully treated him, after he had
given up all hopes of ever being cured.
He also knew several prominent citi
zens of Charleston who had been
treated and cured by Dr. Flower.
Miss Nora Floyd, Poenix City, Ala.,
said : “I was suffering with consump
tion of the lungs, also with catarrh
and stomach troubles. I had been
pronounced incurable, and was almost
a skeleton. In this dying condition I
was taken by my friends to see Dr. R.
C. Flower. My improvement under
his treatment was miraculous. I am
today a well and happy woman,
thanks to this great and good man.”
Mrs. Taylor, wife of Dr. Win. Tay
lor, Salem, Ala., said : “I owe my life
to Dr. R. C. Flower. When 1 first
consulted Dr. Flower, I was suffering
with consumption of the stomach and
bowels. I was helpless and gradually
wasting away. I improved immedi
ately under his treatment. I have
now a new lease of life, Just look at
me—l am a happy, vigorous woman.
My husband advises bad chronic ca
ses to consult Dr. Flower.”
Mrs. William A. McAndrews, Un
ion Springs, Ala., said ; “I have been
radically and soundly cured of neu
ralgia and nervous prostration by Dr.
R. C. Flower, after other physicians
had failed to cure me, and had pro
nounced my case incurable.”
Rev. I. N. Eley, Union Springs,
Ala., said : “I had been a great suf
ferer for years with a disease deeply
seated, which had poisoned my blood.
Numerous physicians had treated ine
without any favorable results. As a
last resort I went to see Dr. Flower,
placed myself under his treatment,
begun to improve immediately, and
was soon a well man. I believe Dr.
Flower is an instrument in God’s
hand to cure the sick when others
fail.”
Thomas Daly, corner Government
and St. Emanuel streets, Mobile, Ala.,
said : “If a man was ever raised from
the dead, Dr. R. C. Flower, of Boston,
raised me. I had been doctored by
the leading physicians of Mobile and
New Orleans for consumption, heart
and kidney troubles, and by these
physicians given up as incurable and
left to die. In this helpless condi
lion I went to see Dr. Flower. He
told me all my troubles without ask
ing me a question. I placed myself
under his treatment, improved imme
diately. and in a few months was
cured.”
I might extend these testimonials
about Dr. Flower’s cures into hun
dreds, I never saw such enthusiasm
as is manifested by Dr. Flower’s pa
tients. Nearly all of the above testi
monials are from prominent people of
their communities, representing as
they do merchants, lawyers, doctors,
ministers, school teachers and bank
ers. Two things seemed to have been
established by this investigation.
First, that Dr. Flower can tell a pa
tient his trouble without asking any
questions. Second, that he inspires
his patients with a hope from the mo
ment they come into his presence
until they are cured. Third, that in
the presence of death, confronted with
an incurable disease, he arises to the
occasion and handles the worst cases
with as much ease as a simple malady.
In the face of these facts it would
seem that there is no good reason
why the sick should suffer, nor
death should come to man, woman or
chi.d, except through the portal old
age.
Those wishing to know more of Dr.
Flower and of his wonderful work by
sending two 2 cent stamps to the
Flower Medical Company, 559 Co
lumbus avenue, Boston, Mass., will
receive free of charge, postpaid, Dr.
Flower’s valuable work entitled
“Science of Health.” This work
should be in every home.
A Sedentary Occupation,
plenty of sitting down and not much
exercise, ought to have Dr. Pierce’s
Pleasant Pellets to go with it. They
absolutely and permanently cure con
stipation. One tiny, sugar-coated
Pellet isr a corrective, a regulator, a
gentle laxative. They’re the smallest,
the easiest to take, and most natural
remedy—no reaction afterward. Sick
Headache, Bilious Headache, Indiges
tion, Bilious z\ttacks, and all stomach
and bowel derangements are pre
vented, relieved and cured.
A “cold in the head” is quickly
cured by Dr. Sage’s Catarrh Remedy.
So is Catarrhal Headache and every
trouble caused by Catarrh. So is
Catarrh itself. The proprietors offer
SSOO for any case they cannot cure.

A STRANGE CASE.
How an Enemy was Foiled.
The following graphic statement will bo
read with intense interest: “I cannot descrilm
the numb, creepy sensation thatexisted in niy
arms, hands and legs. I had to rub and beat
t hose parts un» il they were sore, to overcome
in a measure die dead feeling that had taken
possession of them. In addition, 1 had a
st range weakness in my back and around my
waist, together with an indescribable ‘gone’
feeling in my stomach. Physicians said it
was creeping paralysis, from which, accord
ing to their universal conclusion, there is no
relief. Once it fastens upon, a person, they
say, it continues its;insidious progress until
|t reaches a vital point and the sufferer dies.
Such was my prospect. I had been doctoring
a year and a half steadily, but with no par
licular benefit, when I saw an advertisement
of Dr Miles’ Restorative Nervine, procured a
bottle and began using it. Marvelous as it
may seem, but a few days had passed before
every bit of that creepy feelingf had left me,
ai;d there l.as not been even/the slightest
indication of its return. I /now feel as
well as I ever did. and have gained ten
Founds in weight, though I had run down
rom 170 to 137. Four others have used Dr.
Miles’Restorative Nervine on my recomeu
dation, and it lias been as satisfactory in their
cases as in mine.”—James Kane, La Rue, O. f B
