When seen by an Argus representa tive this morning, Mayor Trammell gave out the following with regard to unpaid paving bills, and enclosed a letter from the West Construction Company, of Chattanooga, which is self-explanatory: Mr. Editor;— Several inquiries have been made, wanting to know the cost and interest on unpaid paving bills. The interest starts on all parties that fi fas were issued against from date of fifa. which was pril 29th, rate 7 per cent. The cost of fi fa and advertisement amounts to $6.00 in each case. I hope those who have not paid will do so at once and let Mr. West have his money. I enclose let ter from West Construction Company, showing they are anxious to get it. Very truly, P. B. TRAMMELL, Mayor. i Chattanooga. Tenn., Dec. 16. 1911 Hon. P. B. Trammell, Dalton. Ga. My dear Mr. Trammell: —We want to extend our thanks to you and the city officials of Dalton for the earnest and sincere fight that they have made in the interest of making the paving collections at Dalton and sustaining the city’s credit thereby. While it is the duty always of the city officials to protect the city’s ob ligations as they do their own, we are sorry to say that in a great many cases they have failed to show the interest that has been shown by your self and the city officials of Dalton. We have waited patiently in this matter, although it has been an ex treme hardship on us, coming at the time that it did, but we felt confident that the spirit shown by yourself and the city officials would eventually se cure for us our money. We trust there will be no further delay from the property owners in settling up their past due indebtedness, as we are greatly in need of the money. Yours very truly, THE WEST CONSTRUCTION CO. L. B. West, President. GOT" PRIZES Some Dalton Chickens Win Again Again Dalton chickens win out in a big poultry show.
