PLAGUE in BARBARY.
The following calamitous ac
count of the dreadful ravages
nude by the plague in Morocco.

dit, given orders at all the ports
to enforce the quarantine laws
with the greateft driftnefs ; and
indeed they could not have taken
a more ffficacious way to infure
vigilant e on the part of the pro
per officers than the one they
baveadopted —that of furnifhing
them with a copy o( the letter
itfelf. which mud irnprefs their
minds fo ftrongly with the ter
rible calamity that may refult to
their country, their friends* con
nexions, and families, that we
may be fure each of them will
exert himfelf to ward off the
evil. We hope the publication
of the! letter will have another
effeef* that of making every
individual ferond to the titmr ft
of his power, toe intentions ot
government and the exertions
of the officers.
