Street Lamps In Oobbham.
Is it the duty of any one to see
that the street lamps in tbe upper
part of the city are ltghted and kept
lighted f We know that lamp light
en are omployed by the city to at
tend to this, but ia there anybody to
see that these officials perform their
dutyf One thing we know—the
lamps are frequently not lighted at
all; and sometimes after they ace
lighted they flicker for an hour or
two and then go out. Thursday and
Friday nights the writer saw sev
eral nnlighted lamps, and this was
nothing unusual. If tha authorities
want any proof of the correctness of
our statements, they can get it from
any person who has to go into Cobb,
ham late at night. The lamps are
few and far between any way, and
they should be kept brightly burning,
