BeatenbouKh was tried today before
Judge McKenzie and a jury and found
a At subject for the asylum, where she
will be carried soon. She was adjudged
a lunatic a few yean ago and was car
ried to the asylum and restored, but
has gotten off again. Her case is a ve
ry sad one. She has a husband and two
small children; it is very doubtful now
that she will ever be restored.

into existence it, to a certain extent, it
dependent on the great meetings to bt
held next Febrnary.

compatible with Democratic ideas, anc
many of the delegates of Republican
persuasion are satisiied with it.
The proceedings at the last session
were unparalleled in the history of con
ventions. The war veterans of both
sides mounted the stage and daspet
ilands. Flags were waved in wild fren-

Wadsworth of Indiana, and Davis oi
Texas, were the leaders.
Davis said that this is not the third,

nado passed about three miles northwest
of this place, in the vicinity of Bean
creek, in the afternoon. So far as heard
from, fifteen booses in the vicinity of
that place were destroyed, some ten or
twelve persons killed, an equal number

storm, accompanied by a high gain and
torrents of rain which drove every one
from tbe streets, passed over this city.
The storm seems to have been general
from the Alleghenies to the Missouri
river, and westward as far north as
Minnesota.
