Further details have been received of
the battle at Masays on the 20th. The

from which neither the superior artill

The revolutionists were able to inflict
great losses on their assailants. The
loss bv death, wounds and desertions

was diminished by fully one half.
The charge made against Sacasa by

The symptoms of bee paralysis, a dis

thus described by a beekeeper in. “Glean

disease are first noticeable by the guard

tion, also causing the hair to loosen and
to be easily extracted by the bees in the
hustling movement as above stated.
When the bees reach the second stage,
or hairless condition, the guard bees are
more determined to drag them from the
hive than at any other time. Further
observations teach ns that as soon as the
bee begins to bloat she immediately
leaves the hive and soon expiree.
“This advice in way of a cure is given
to all who have or may have bee paraly
sis among their bees—try one or two col
onies thus: As soon as the bees begin to
fly freely make a strong brine and thor
oughly wet the bottom boards of these
hives once a week, so that when they dry
they look frosty; also freely spray the
combs and brood with a solution of salt
water that yon can taste quite a little
salty (not strong) once a week during tbe
season.”
