No other smoking tobacco has ever been made which has
secured and held the popular favor as has Blackwell’s

CHEROKEE8 CHARGE COLLUSION-

Not Get Their Honoy.
Fort Gibsos, I. T., June 14.—The
four Cherokees having charge of the
$6,000,OOOCherokee Strip securities have
arrived at Tahleqoah.
When questioned about what truth
there was in the statement going the
rounds that tha Cherokee delegation
was in collusion with certain Wall
street people for the purpose of contrail-,
ing the bonds and baying them finally
at less than par, Chief Harris said that
the report was purely sensational and
had no foundation in fact.
The Clu rokees are universal in the
belief that the strip paper is good, and
Chief Harris’ argument that his failure
to get the mouey was due to a stringen
cy has failed to satisfy the masses. As
a nrsnlt of this belief the chief and del
egation are being closely watched. If
ai y act of had faith should be detected
it is generally conceded here that the
whole matter would result in personal
violence to the delegation, including
the chief.
The full blood element, numbering
between 8,000 and 9,000, do not under
stand why the strip has been ceded
without the money first being paid, and
should some designing person go among
them and advocate trouble, the result
would be terrible.
