Several Ware Slightly Injured, i and

Conyers, Ga., June 27.—Yesterday
evening ared weeddent happened at the
paper mill near here. Mr Will Haweina
and Mr. Barker were scalded by the ex-
plosion of ono of the steam cylinders in
the piper department. Mr. Barber was
scalded on one arm from the elbow to
the bend. Mr. Hawkins was most
seriously hurt. Tho doctor* do not ex
pect him to live. Drs. Stewart and
Guion dressed him. Several others Were
slightly irjured. In tbe paper depart
ment there are cylinders filled with
steam over which,.as the wet paper pas-
set. it is dries. From report, the steam
was at too high a pressure and blew the
end of the cylinder out and allowed
the steam to escape which caused the
accident.

John Gey, overseer of a larg) planta
