REORGANIZATION FAILED,

Below the Amount That Would
Be Nrrouarjr to the Sueceea
of the Undertaking.
New York, July 15.—The attempt to
reorganize the Georpia Central railroad
is to bo abandoned.
A circ ular to that effect was signed
by the reorganization committee to be
sent out to the security holders.
The old plan of reorganization was
based on an expected earning of $1,800,-
000 actual neat earnings. The earnings
for past years were considerably below
that amount . Opposition to the plan
came from holders of biparte bonds.
They are about to secure an order for
sale in the foreclosure of the South
western railroad, upon which they
claim their bonds are a first lien..
The floating debt of the company ag
gregates $5,000,000, mpst of which ie
carried by members of the reorganiza
tion committee, who say in their report
that they have reached the conclusion
that it was best for all concerned that
the property should remain in the hands
of the court until its earnings approxi
mate an amount calculated on in the
abandoned plan.

Washington, July 15.—There are
about twenty American missionaries in
Siam, mistly Presbyterians, and them

the two workmen, who were in a small
boat were amazed to see the tentacles
of a monster devil fish soaring thirty
feet in the air. The foaming sea was

commotion. The touch of an electric
button would have ended the monster,
but the cap bad been tried, and
