THE FLOWER SHOW "
A GREAT SUCCESS.
The Ladles’ OerdenCIub CoBfratuIatcd Oa the
exhibit.
The Ladies’ Garden Club’s fall exhibit
is a beauty.
It was opened for public inspection
yesterday afternoon and will continue
through tonight.
Prof. Starnes was to hare lectured to
the members of the dub, but on account
of illness was prevented from doing so.
The exhibit is in the old Vinoent
house on the corner of Lumpkin street
and Hancock avenue. It is well worth
anybody’s time to go around and see
the lovely display of flowers, ferns, and
vegetables, so tastefully arranged by the
members of the Garden Club.
The two front rooms are devoted to
chrysanthemums and rosea, and .there
were never more beautiful flowers
exhibited in Athens. One of the rear
rooms is filled with palms and ferns,
the collection being quite beautiful.
The large ball room in the rear of the
building is devoted to the vegetable dis
play, which is one of great merit.
Especially fine turnips, Irish potatoes,
com and peppers are on display.
There is no admission charge and the
publio is cordially invited to visit the
exhibit either today or tonight. It will
close positively tonight.
QUSTION ANSWERED.
Yes, August Flower still has the
largest sale of any medicine in the civ
ilised world. Your mothers’ and grand
mothers’ never thought of using any
thing else for Indigestion or Biliousness.
Doctors were scarce, and they seldom
heard of Appendicitis, Nervous Pros
tration or Heart failure, eto. They used
August Flower to dean out the system
and stop fomentation of undigested
food, regulate the action of the liver,
stimulate the nervions and organic
action of the system, and that is all they
took when feeling dull and bad with
headaches and other aches. Yon only
need a few doses of Groan’s August
Flower, in liquid form, to make you sat
isfied there is nothing serious the matter
with you. Sample .bottles at H. R.

It will not be a surprise to any who
are at all familiar with the good qual
ities of Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy,
to know that people everywhere take
pleasure in relating their experience in
the use of that splendid medicine and in
telling of the benefit they have received
from it, of bad colds it has cured, of
threatened attacks of pneumonia it has
averted and of the obildren it has saved
from attacks of croup and whooping
cough. It is a grand, good medicine.

The brilliant young oomedienne,
Corinne, in the rolicsome and merry
oreation of Edgar Smith Sc Louis De
Lange “The Little Host,” is the at
traction announced for the New opera
house Thursday evening, Nov. 9th,
under the direction of Manager Junius
Howe. Corinne is well known through-
oat the entire country and particularly
so in this section as being a sprightly,
bright little woman of unmistakable
talent. Corinne has had the good for
tune to score a continued round of suc
cesses since her first appearance npui
the stage; bnt these successes have been
made in a field unlike the one in which
she is now brought before ns, and the
character assumed by her in “The Lit
tle Hoet” is totally nnlike anything
previously attempted by her. The
atmosphere by which she is now sur
rounded partakes more of the nature of
comedy whereas, previously she essayed
roles more or less in the line of extrava
gant-
The company which Manager Junius
Howe has organised to support Corinne
is said to be in every way a most capa
ble one, embracing as it does some of the
ofcverest artists in the theatrioaLprofes
sion, including R. E. Graham, Wm.
Pruette, John .T. Raffael, Louis De-
Lange, Arthur Villars, Rath White,
Genevieve Reynolds, Natalia Oloott,
Emily Francis and others. Clarence
Rogerson is the musical director of the
organisation and under his able lfidpr-
ship the incidental mnsio, supplied tty
W. E. Francis, will receive proper in
terpretation.
The show is in every respect high class
and most enjoyable. The stars are ably
supported by a full and capable com
pany, and the theatre-goers of the city
cannot afford to miss this treat.
