Claimed That Electrocution
Always Fatal.
New York. Aug. 16.—F. A. Stratton,
vice preuldent of nn electric lighting
company In Worcester county, this
state, says that murderers sentenced to
die in C(ie electric chair are frequent
ly not killed by the electric current,
and that they would be burled alive
if It were not for the autopsy which
follows the electrocution. Mr. Strat
ton says:
''Nearly every week wo have line
men who have been shocked by higher
voltage currents than are used In the
electric chair at Sing Sing, yet they
come around all right after a few days'
treatment. This oelng the case. Is
It not probable that somt of the mur

trlc chair could be resuscitated If they
received prompt medical attention and
tha same care that Is given to one of
our 'Incmen after he meets with an

a great many people, who are sup

In reality burled alive."
