A ride in the country this week

Mrs. English, mother of our county-
man, Marion English, died on Mon¬
day last at the advanced age of seventy

We ske clad to note that onr School
is in a mom flourishing condition than
for some timo past. A petition from
the tax payers of the town is now be¬
fore the City Council asking an appro¬
priation for repairing the School-house
utul furnishing it with new seats and
