From his own account it seems he was drinking, and in his madness shot himself. Tho wound is not con sidcrcd dangerous. Fortunately for him, he did not aim correctly. The railroads in the Southern Pas senger Association have agreed to make excursion rates from the West and Northwest for all mineral points in tho South' at l|c. per mile. Ex cursions will be run as follows: March 13 and 27. April 10 and 24. Tho tickets for each excursion will bo good for thirty days, and will accepted on all the Sonthern lines.
