All around, in the great churchyard, lie the dead of past generations—a few of the inscriptions dating bock nearly three hun dred years. Some of the graves, I was. told, contain the remains of a dozen per sons—one coffin being placed upon the top of another, room being made for the mw comers as the earlier tenants of the graves moulder into dust.
