The following dialogue between druggist Hodges and a drummer is too good to keep: Hodges—“Why, how are you old fellow? You are looking so much better. That bottle of medicine I fixed up for you was just the thing, wasn’t it? It just built you up.” Drummer, grinning mischievous ly—“Well, not exactly. I didn’t take your medicine at all; but got some medicine from another fellow.” The bystanders whooped, and George, seeing the cream of the joke as well as the rest, joined in with all his might. Free Lectures In the Second Advent church, cor ner of P. and L. streets, two squares east of the gas house, commencing Nov. 22nd at 7:30 p. m., and contin uing every vvening until Dec 2nd in clusive. These lectures will be given by Prof. Miles Grant, of Boston, Mass., President of the American Advent Foreign and Home Mission Society, illustrated by a great histor ic and prophetic chart, 68 feet long and seven feet wide, demonstrating that the Bible is a divinely inspired book, and also that wc are living near the time of the coming of Christ. On Sundays Nov. 25th and Dec. 2nd, the meetings will begin at 11 a. m., 3 and 7:30 p. m. The church will be warmed. Returned Safely. The Brunswick Riflemen and the Atlantic Baud reached the city to day at noon from Columbus, whither they have been to “ illustrate Bruns wick,” roport having a splendid time, and the very best treatment. The universal verdict of all the mili tary there was that they all wanted to come to St. Simons next spring, without fail. Those who had not yet been to the sea shore, but had sim ply heard of it, were :to eager as the others.
