When a printer sets on a poem it b s bound to be printed, but when an editor set on a poem it will never be printed. A printer not long ago being “flung” by his swee heart, went to the office and tried to commit suicide with the “shoot ing stick,” but the thing wouldn’t “go off.” The “devil wishing to pacify him told him to peep into the sanctum where the editor was writing duns to delin quent subscribers. The meeting of the Chattanooga citv council, Tuesday night, wound up in a disgraceful row, so says the News. The Chattanooga Evening News is the name of a paper recently started in H*a4~pfry. The News is printed at the very low price of ten cents per week. It stands square up to its motto: “Little But Lively,” and is, in every sense of the word, a neat and nobby little sheet Our foreman and his majesty’s KvA\- ness differed, just a little this week and his satanic highness silently stole away leaving the otlice alone in its glory, and the shebang destitute of a “devil.” The e will be preaching in the village Sunday by Rev.
