Tomorrow afternoon the Augusta
baseball fan* will be given a chance to
witness what is generally termed a
real baseball game. This game will he
played lietween the Brooklyn I lodger*
and the Newark boys, of the Interna
tional League Manager Harry Nmlth,
of Newark, having *|>ent three weeks
training I Columbus, decided to go
to Macon. He will leave Macon and
arrive tn Augusta tomorrow morning,
and will gel ready for the game In the
afternoon
Manager Robinson stated that this
on* would be some game, as each team
waa out for "blood" The Newark
team baa one game ahead of the
Brooklyn Dodgers, so far, and "Rob."

Federal leoaguo baseball club, told of

nounc'd he will retain his controlling
Interest In the Chicago Nationals for
at least a year, refused an offer of
1770,000 for Ids holdings, according to
John T. Connery, who attempted to
puurchase the Cubs for the f'onncry-

for his stock.

met him," said Connery. "Our final

Oak Park Farmer Seveis
Wife's Head From Body,
Stabs His Two Children to
Death.
Oak Park, Ga .1 A Kubanka, a
farmer living near this place, early to
day killed Ills wife and two daughters
an the) slept, set fire to his homo and
several other farm buildings and then
fired « bullet through 'lllh forehead.
He died several hours later.
Mrs Kubanka' head was almost
completely severed from her body
with un axe The two children, one
aged four, the other a baby six
months old. were stabbed to death.
Menial derangement, resulting from
111 health Is believed responsible for
the farmer's acts. After committing
the three murders and firing his bidd
ings. Kubanka awakened a neighbor
and told him what be bad done. He
then shot himself.
Kubanka' barn nml several small
tenant houses were destroyed tn the
fire lie started. The residence was
only slightly damaged
Kubanka was 30 years old.

a railroad flagman, and brother of
Johnson Reynolds, of Non-roes, Ha.,
the well-known Southern railway
conductor was seriously and probably
fatally Injured this afternoon while
switching cars His left arm and left
leg wore badly crushed, necessitating
amputation,

when announcement was made here
that an organisation committee of 25
had been named. Prof. John Dewey,
of Columbia University. Is chairman
of the committee.
The purposes of the association are
