The chairman of the lMhllc Health De partment of the club has asked the assistance of the president of tho Board of Health and he has Riven It freely and cheerfully, and has asked as the chairman requested, the use of the chain gang and a Hoard of Health Inspector to visit every district that waa reported to him hy a committee from the Public Health Department The follow inn are the committees that have reported unsanitary conditions In various parts of the city; Mrs. T E. Oertal reports Enterprise street, runnlnß from Orecne to the canal, no New erase and most unsani tary mud hole on the west side. Hrenner and Mrs Frank Fleming report MoKinne street, run ning from Gwinnett to Florence, and also Florence street. Mrs. K. B. Baxter reports Hamilton street, running from lllcks to the canal King Mill houses are reported as having inadequate sewerage and water standing in rainy weather, for two or three weeks. Mrs. Grenville Talbott and Mr*. Jeff Thomas report most unsanitary condi tion near and around Turpin Hill dls trlcL the houses being swamped In water by the overflow of ditches In rainy weather. This property. It Is said, Is handled by some of Augusta's best known business men Almost the entire drainage In that section of the city Is surface sewerage and requires the attention of the chain gang every few months to keep It open and in proper condition.
