Colonel Nolan Is anxious to have the remains brought here, but In deference to numbers of friends and relatives will not go to Mexl*« Nothing definite has been ascertain ed about Dr. Nolan's death as the letter sent by a Dr. Pressley Is tne only new* received from any source. Officers Searching For Alleged Calhoun Slayer New Evidence Found; Husband of Woman Charged With Uncle’s Murder. Csluhoun, Ga. —Search for Charles Chapman, husband of the young nleco of Sid Chapman, for whose alleged murder at their home near here Satur day morning, Mrs. Lizzie Starnes, slste rof the slain man, and her daughter. Mrs. Charles Chapman, are under arrest here, was begun today. Following the mornln's developments In the case the warrant was issued for Chapman, who is said to be at Wildwood, in Dade County. Officers attach much significance to the fact that two dogs belonging to the missing man, which were at the house Friday, disappeared the night of the murder Police are searching Tor evidence to substantiate their theory that Charles Chapman visited his home the night of the mur der. and was followed away by the dogs. What officers claim Is new light on the murder developed in the find ing in the ashes of the fireplace In the Chapman home of a piece of metal shell Identical with those used In the gun with which the young far mer is said to have been killed. Officers have announced their in entlons of postponing the preliminary trial until the arrest of Charles Chap man. The funeral of the slain man was conducted from the Salem Baptist Church yesterday by Rev J. .lones Requests of the accused women, who j are merbers of the church, that they lie allowed to attend the services were denied, the only relative of the slain man present being a brother, Lewi* Chapman.
