At a meeting of the Aiken County Delegation the following were elected rural policemen of this county: Messrs. S. E. Holley, re elected; Musco Samuels, re-elected; .1, E. C.annt, of Wagener, to take the place of Charlie Atkinson and J. M. \Y Clover to take the place of Capt John Butler in North Augusta. Following an attempt to wreck the afternoon train to Edgefield, Sheriff Howard and Rural Policeman Sam uels got busy and yesterday afternoon arrested a little negro named Sam Jefferson, about eleven years old. The little negro was turned over to Hen dersons, ntttorneys for the Southern Railway at Aiken and this morning he was released owing to his age. with the request that he be given a severe whipping by hts parents. It seems that the little negro moved to this county some time ago and as he had never seen a train wreck he thought that he would cause one.
