For forty years the best physicians have relied on the wholesome predigested nourishment in SCO ITS EMULSION which is totally free from alcohol or opiates. Scott’s Emulsion sharpens the appetite —renews blood —nourishes nerves —strengthens bones and restores the courage of health to make life bright Soott’s Emulsion sets in action the very forces that promote health. Its purity, richness and strength has stood the test of forty years. This bunch, however, is all right and will continue the Hired years trip, anyhow. The same blow of September 23rd that let us into shore took the Karlug to the westward — how far, goodness knows. The Tran sit, a big freight schooner, piled up on a nice cake and had to be beached just wrest of Barrow. The Polar Bear is safe as a church. We have just had a 50-mile northeaster and the Ice has not cracked for ten miles off shore.” Muddy Complexion. Was Jailed Ten Days; Mistaken For Forger Brunswick, Ga. —After being detain ed in the Glynn county jail for ten days, thought to lie J. R. Kline, a no torious forger wanted in Michigan and other states on a dozen or more char ges, J. M. Patterson has been given his release, it having been proven conclus ively that he was not the man wanted. Mr. Patterson established the fact that he was an old newspaper man, having at one time owned the Tipton, Ind., Times, and letters were received from the editor of that paper stating that Mr. Patterson was a former well known and popular citizen of that place. The former newspaper man takes a right view of his arrest and detention. He says he did not blame the officers for arresting him, if it was thought that he was the man wanted, but he objected to being detained for so long a time without hetng given an oppor tunity to establish his identity and not be informed upon what charge he was held. Two officers from Ann Ar bor, Mich., came all the way to Bruns wick to identify Patterson, and so doubtful were they as to whether or not he was Kline, that it took them two or three days to reach a decis ion.
