In Richmond county political circles
there are no new developments. So
far there have l>r. n three candidate*
to announce for county com mission el
and there are to be three vacancies
next January, when the terms of three
of the present commissioners expire.
Mr. A. H. Rooks Is the only cotnmls
slorer who has formally announced
for re-election. Messrs. H. R. Pund
nnd V. ('. 11. Holley have recently an
nounced also.

Lloyd M. Quinn sings an extempora

to the Bijou in some time.
The favorite, Percy Spellman, will
tell some of his funny jokes anl sing
a few larodies, which will be one of
the features of the bill. Mr. Spellman
Is without a douhht one of the best
fun makers on the road today, and
the way the crowds are talking about
him shows l.e is a favorite. He is a
clean, clever compdian, nnd one that
relies solely on his ability to win
praise.
American Marchioness
Has Husband Ejected
Pari*. —The court today ejected
from his apartment here the Marquis
De Amodio, whose wife was Miss Jos
eidiine Wainwright, an American. He
was ordered also to give the three
children of the marriage into the cus
tody of the marchioness.
There have been domestic difficul
ties in the family for some time. Re
cently while the marchioness was away
the marquis applied for a
judicial separation from his wife. On
her return to her apartment the mar
chioness found her husband had in
stalled himself there. She brought pro
ceedings to obtain possession of her
.home and charge of her three children.
This was ordered.
Thi title of the marquis is a papal
one. The marriage took place 11 years
ago.

A meeting of the sub-committee at
the Richmond county democratic ex
ecutive committee, of which Mr. T.
K. Harrison I* chairman, was held on
yesterday, nnd April 20th was fixed u»
the last date on which any one may en
ter the primary- May tilth.
The polling places, names of regis
try clerks, etc., will he decided later

at the primary on May 15th:

THE SALVATION ARMY
In addition to the regular meeting*
of the Salvation Army today, Sunday,
two special nnd Interesting meeting*
have been arranged for Monday night.
These meetings will he conducted by
Brigadier A. VV. Crawford, the divis
ion officer of the South Atlantic di
vision, with office* in Atlanta. The
brigadier is no stranger in Augusta,
