Then, why not do your own In vestigating on this health question? See for yourself the part Bile plays in your physical make-up. Every authority concedes that Bile is the element that purifies and dis infects the food and food channel. Pure food for the blood means a healthy body. Pure food for the blood Is impossible without a free flow of Bile. PoDoLax Releases the Bile "PoDo," froir. Podophylin, the med ical name for May Apple Root. In biblical times it was called "Man drake.” “Lax,” from Laxative, meaning to release gently- without the purging, cathartic action of other bile starters. PoDoI-ax is the name. If you want plenty of thick, beauti ful, glossy, silky hair, do by all means get rid of dandruff, for it will starve your hair and ruin it if you don't. It doesn’t do much good to try to brush or wash it out. The only sure way to get rid of dandruff is to dis solve it, then you destroy it entirely. To do this, get about four ounces of ordinary liquid arvon; apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it in gently with the finger tips. By morning, most if not ali, of your dandruff will be gone, and three or four more applications will completely dissolve and entirely destroy, every single sign and trace of it. You will find, too, that all itching and digging of the scalp will stop, and your Hair will lie silky, fluffy, lus trous, soft and look and feel a hun dred times better. You can get liquid arvon at any drug store. It is inex pensive. and four ounces is all you will need, no matter how much dandruff you have. Th s simple remedy nevw falls. THEODORE WASHBURN. Stately (dd St. Paul's Church has never been the scene of a more beau tiful wedding ilinn last night of Miss Nellie Goodrich Crane and Mr. Theo dore Pomeroy Washburn, which was solemnized at nine o'clock in the presence of a large number of Trtemls, each one of whom felt a special inter est in the vows so solemnly plighted. At all times is St. Paul's beautllul, but never lias it been lovelier than with Its artistic adornment of hun dreds of Easier lilies that reared their stately heads about the altar and chancel, which was further adorned by branches of dogwood blossoms, which gleamed like stars from a back ground of slender palms ami d -lieaie green ferns, while the many altar candles scintillated brilliantly. Addi tional beauty and sanctity was given the occasion by the | resene of the full vested choir, which rendered the wedding music, singing the bridal chorus from Isyhengrinn as the bridal party advanced up the central aisle. First to enter were the ushers, Dr. T. D. Coleman with Mr. Coles Phinizy. and Mr. Clinton with Mr. Henry tiarrett. These were followed by the two maids, Miss Martha Coleman with Miss Mary dimming, w-ho were In turn followed by the two matrons of honor, Mrs. Hebei- Morton. oT Way nesboro, and Mrs. George Traylor. These grouped themselves about the chancel and awaited the entrance of the bride, who was attended by her brother. Mr. William S. Crane. The maids and matrons presented a picture of indescribable loveliness In their gowns of delicate green taffeta with trimmings of silver lace, silver slippers anil carrying sheaves of gol den hearted Easter lilies. The groom entered under the es cort of his two best men, his brothers, Mr. Ixiring Washburn and Mr. Harris Washburn, came from the vestry and met the bride at the foot of the chan cel steps. Here the vows were plighted, the bride given in marriage by her brother, after which they ad vanced to the aJtar where the cere mony was concluded by Rev. G. Sher wood Whitney officiating. At all times is the bride lovely and dainty, at all times is she interesting and lovable but never has she ap peared to a more perfect advan tage than in her wedding gown, a superb gown, a superb creation of soft white satin and Chantilly lace, the graepful trimmings oT the lace which draped the bodice being caught with pearls, which were also used to catch the drop lace draperies of the skirt. A gleaming butterfly of pearls caught a cascade of the lace at the hack of the bodice, which fell In a delicate frothy billow to the hem of the graceful train. A coronet of orange blossoms held the veil to the prettily arranged coiffure, and the veil worn over the face until after the ceremony, served only to accentuate, not conceal Its womanly charm. Her flowers were exquisite bride roses and valley lilies. After the church ceremony the bridal iiarty ond a few close friends were entertained at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. William Hamner Crane, on upper Greene Street, where congratulations were received and supper served. Here the .decorations were rarely lovely. The three spa cious rooms thrown into one long suit were redolent with the perfume of Spring flowers. In the front parlors the bridal tones of white and green w-ere evidenced in the many Easter lilies and dogwood blossoms. Tn the next room there were masses of pink azalias which were used with artistic effect, while in the dining room the bridal colors were again reverted to, and the enti-e room was abloom with Easter lilies and dainty little valley lilies. The table was covered with a cloth of hand-embroidery and lace In the center of which rested a huge cut glass vase filled with perfect Easter lilies. Massive many branched cut glass candelabra held candles which gleamed beneath silver shades, and cut glass and silver trays and com ports held confections and bonbons, all inwhite and green. The bride’s cake was a triumph of art and was most elaborately and perfectly iced in Easter lilies and valley lilies. At each guest's place was a small bon bon filled basket on the handle of which was perched a tiny white dove, a lovely little gold monogrammed box containing dream slices of cake, and a cornucopia filled with confetti with which the bride and groom were showered. A delicious supper was beautifully served and the pleasure and enjoyment of the occasion inten sified by Bearden’s Orchestra which rendered a delightful musical pro gram. Later the bride changed her gown for a stunning coat suit of dark blue cloth finished with touches of old rose and worn with blouse of blue chiffon over rose charmeusp. a chic hat of blue with rose trimmings, and amid the sincerest of good wishes and a perfect shower of rice, Mr. and Mrs. Washburn left for an extended north ern and western tour. On their re turn they will be at home to their friends at the Crane residence. There is no young couple in Augus ta who have more loyal and devoted friends than have Mr. and Mrs. Wash, burn, nor Is there any who more rich ly desprve them. Mrs. Washburn Is the younger daughter of Mrs. William Hamner Crane, and Is a young woman of rare and delightful personality. She possesses much of the gracious womanly dignity of her mother, blended with the forceful strength of character of her late father, a map who left a beautiful Imprint for good on all with whom he was associated in even the most casual way, and who Is still mourned in a wide circle ol Triends Mr. Washburn has made his home in Augusta for the past year, representing the L. & NT. R. R Per sonally he is a delightful man with an individuality that is very winning and which lias caused him to enjoy a very delightful popularity with all who know him. The cordial love and esteem in which they are held was beautifully attested by the many gifts sent them, whieh were displayed in one of the large rooms on the upper floor. Among the handsomely gowned wo men at the wedding were: Mrs. Wil liam H Crane, the mother of the bride, black silk crepe. Mrs Marshall Washburn, mother of the groom, white charmeuse with overdress of black Chantilly lace Mrs John Ben nett, sister of the bride, black crepe meteor with touches of net Mrs. Henry G Goodrich, of Philadelphia, wore a handsome gown of lavender satin, with gold lace in white.
