WHITE MAN ACCOSTED
ALLEGED CRAZY GIRL
Then* was a case before the record
er yesterday morning which at the
time was inirposely omitted from the
report of the proceedings owing to Us
unpleasant nature. A white man wan
fined SIOO or 90 days for having ac
costed a young w*nlte girl on the 1300
block of Ellis street. But today's de
velopments in the case make it neces
sary to make some mention of it.
The young girl's grandfather, it ap
pears. went yesterday afternoon to
Judge Walton and swore out a writ of
lunacy against her. She will he ex
amined very shortly for her sanity,
which, they say. is quite shaky. This
puts a different light on yesterday's
case. The prisoner’s wife, who, by
the way, is in a delicate condition, has
persuaded the young girl’s mother to
intercede (nr her husband s release.
and report has it that Judge Irvin
(who is out of the city today) has
certified Ills willingness to suspend the
man’s sentence. For It was entirety
on the testimony of the young girl
that he was convicted.
