Augusta Won Last Game of
Series From Charleston in
Yesterday’s Game.
Charleston, S. C.—Augusta won the
last game of the series yesterday from
Charleston in a pretty contest, 2 to 0.
Andrews got himself in several ugly
holes by his wildness, but good sup
port saved the visitors.
The winning run was scored in the
fourth inning when Clark doubled,
Ashby popped out, Sabrie scored
Clark with a single and Brouthers
registered Sabrie with another single.

Macon, Ga.—Munn's homerun with
two men on the bases in the first in
ning yesterday afternoon won the
game for Macon from Jacksonville by
4 to 3, making two of the series for
the local club. Matthews had scor
ed on a base on balls, sacrifice kit
and hits by Bowden and Gonzalez.
Jacksonville made two runs in the
second. Melcholr's four-nagger made
the visitors' third run in the sixth in
ning. Macon’s Cuban catcher, Orga
zon, arrived today and will be on the
team at Albany tomorrow. Pitcher
Smith was released today.

day’s game from Columbus by a score
of 9 to 4. The feature of the game
was the terrific hitting of Manager
Manush, who got a single, a double
and triple out of four trips to the
plate. Wells and Cochran also fea
tured in the hitting line. A sensa
tional catch by Parker, as the field
ing feature. Umpire Vitter was bit
by pitched hall that pounded up from
the i late and had to be carried to the
clubhouse, being unable to return to
the game, though he will probably be
able to wark tomorrow. The score:

day-—First Game Went 15
Innings.
Savannah, Ga.—Savannah took both
games of a double-header with Colum
bia here yesterday, the first 4 to 3 In
fifteen innings and the second 4 to 1
ill six innings, play being stopped by
darkness. An error decided the first
game and the second was a runaway
for the locals. Winston, formerly
with Charleston, scored the winning
run in the opening contest. With
two down in the fifteenth he stile
second and came all the way home,
when Braun’s wild throw to center
was thrown over Finnegan’s head at
third by Ezell.
