The second went only seven Innings by agreement. Here Is how the first game went: FIRST GAME. FIRST INNING. Mackert was hit by the pitcher. He stole second. Hamilton sacrific ed him to'third. Russell scored Mack ert on a single to right. Russell stole second. Marshall was hit by the pitcher. Brough fanned. Bern sen hit to third and Russell was forc ed at that station. Norcott flew out to left. Burgess singled to right. He stole second. He went to third on Ashby's out third to first. .Sabrie was out, third to first. SECOND INNING. Plans Are Progressing Plans for the Baraca Baseball Lea gue are progressing nicely, the board of directors met Monday night and finished drawing up the by-laws and now everything is in readiness, ex cept the schedule which will be adopt ed at another meeting of the board to be held at the Y. M C. A. on next Wednesday nignt. The league will consist of six teams as follows: Asbury Methodist. Second Baptist. Curtis Baptist. Second Christian. North Augusta Baptist. St. John Methodist. The board of directors have not given out anything official 1n regard to when the league will play itH first game but It la generally understood that the first game will he played tn the week ending May 16th. The board of directors consist of the following Baracas; W. C. Selgler, chairman. A. J. Montgomery. Mr Guest. Red Cross, T J. North. Bonnie Pague Mr. Crouch Mr. Crouch Is also general secretary and treasurer of the league. The kind of rivalry that is expect ed among these six team* is the kind of sport that tends to build up, there will be a real run for the rag, two or three of the teams already having de clared themselves winners and there being no optomlsm lacking among the others gives us the assurance that whoever wins the pennant will at least have no walk away.
