Section I—Should the issuance of such
bonds be assented 1o by two-thirds of
the qualified voters of Augusta and
should such amount of bonds be ascer
tained 1o be within the limit of bonds
authorised to be Issued, under the Con
stitutions,! Amendment ** hereinafter
fully set for*h there shall be authorised
to be Issued and sold hv The City Coun
cil of Augusta tinder the provision* of
th's ordinance Seven Hundred and Fifty
Thousand Hollar* ($730,000) principal
amount of bonds, the proceeds of which
shall be used for the purpose of pro
tection against flood*. Such bonds
shad be known a* "City of Augusta
Flood Pro*action Bands of 1914.** shall be
of the denomination of One Thousand
Hollars ($.1000) each shall bear date the
first day of July nineteen hundred nnd
fourteen (1914 V shall be payable ns to

Section 4—These bonds are Intended to
be issued under and by virtue of the au
thority contained in the Amendment to
paragraph one of section seven of article
seven of the Constitution of the State
of Georgia, the Act of the General As
sembly providing for which was ap
proved August If. 19(9. as appears in
the published laws of 1909 on pages 77
to 90 inclusive, and which was proclaim
ed by the Governor of the hi are of Get**-
gla on the 20th day of October, 1910.
