Such notice shall specify what amount of bonds are to be issued, for what purpose, what interest they are to bear, how much principal and Interest to he paid annually and when to be fully paid off. Ad persons voting at such election In favor of the Issuance of such bonds shall have writ ten or printed on their ballots the words "For bonds for the purpose of protection nga rist floods " and a' 1 persons opposed to the Issuance of such bonds shall have written or printed on their ballots the words “Against bonds for the purpose of protection against floods." Section 2 Should the issuance of such bonds be assented to by two-thirds of the qualified voters of Augusta and should such amount of bonds be ascer tained to be within the limit of bonds authorized to be issued, under the Con stitutional Amendment as hereinafter fully set forth there shall be authorized to oe issued and sold by The City Coun cil of Augusta under the provisions of th s ordinance, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000) principal amount of bonds, the proceeds of which shall be used for the purpose of pro tection against floods. Huch fronds shall be known as "City of Augusta Flood Protection Ronds of 1914," shall be of the denomination of One Thousand Dollars ($.1000) each, shall hear date the first day of July, nineteen hundred and fourteen (1914), shall be payable as to the principal amount thirty years after date, shall bear interest at the rate of four and one-half per centum (4 % per rent.) per annum, payable semi-annual ly on the first days of January and of July of each year, such Interest to be r«*r*reaented by coupons attached to said bonds, each coupon being for the sum of Twenty-two and 50-100 Dollars < $22.60)), nhaJt be numbered from one thousand and one (1,001) to one thousand, seven hundred and fifty (1,750), both Inclusive, shall be ligthographed or engraved, shall be signed by the Mayor of Augusta, countersigned by the Clerk of Council, and have the Corporate Seal of the C tv affixed thereto, and the coupons shall bear the lithographed or engraved sig nature of the present Clerk of Council. Such principal and Interest shall be pay able at the office of the Treasurer of the City of Augusta; the Interest to be a Iso payable at the American Exchange National Hank, New York City.
