A. reception to the student body of the Academy of Richmond County wan given thin afternoon at the Y. M. C A Building, only the cadets and faculty of the school being present. Several Persons Said to Have Left Atlanta. Atlanta- There will he some hot doing* hat ween the local detective de partment and the local courts and De tective William J. Burns if the latter really return* to Atlanta tomorrow, as Id* representatives say he will, to face the charges of contempt and violation of the city ordinances which have been formally lodged against him. Fhief of Detective* l.anford, of the city foice, declares that he has ample evidence to convict Burns and at leas* seven or eight of his aides on the charge of violating the city ordinance regulatln; the operations of private detectives.
