RULES AND CONDITIONS
1. Contest will begin Monday, May
25, 1814, and close 3 p. m. Monday,
October 12. 1914.
2. Manufacturers co-operating in
the contest, their employes and all
newspaper employes of this paper are
BARRED from competing for prizes.
It will not be permlsjjjble for any
contestant after having entered con
test to combine with any other candi
date if the prizes If won are to be
shared In any way.
8. In case of a tie vote for any
prize, said prize will be sold and pro
ceeds equally divided between con
testants.
4. At the close of the contest, prizes
will be awarded by a board of promi
nent business men, who will canvass
the votes and whose decision those en
tering the contest agree to accept as
final.
5. Out-of-town contestants may
mail or express their labels, wrappers
and voting certificates to the Contest

6. Ballots once Issued or votes once
cast cannot be transferred.
7. Should It be discovered that any
of the contestants competing for the
prizes are using, or attempting to use,
unfair methods to secure votes, they
will be dropped from the contest and
votes cast lost. This rule Is to be
enforced at the discretion of the con
test manager and all contestants en
tering thereby agree to abide by same.
8. No statement or promise made
by any solicitor, canvasser or agent
varying from the above rules as set
forth will be recognized by the Con
test Department.
9. All contestants entering the con
test thereby agree that the final de
cision, should any dispute arise, shall
rest with Contest Manager, and In en
tering agree to abide by the rules set
forth above and by any additional
rules that may be necessary to make.

3rd. Cut out and mail or bring to Contest Headquarters nomination blank oontained in this announce
ment, this will start you or your favorite candidate off with 1,000 votes.
