Such notice shall specify what amount of bonds are to be Issued, for what purpose, what Interest they are to bear, how much principal and interest to he paid annually and when to he fully pa d off. A 1 persons voting at such election in favor of the issuance of such bonds shall have writ ten or printed on their ballots the words “For bonds for the purpose of protection aranst floods’* and a'l persons opposed to the Issuance of such bonds shall have written or printed on their ballots the words "Against bonds for the purpose of protection against floods.” Pectlon 2 Rhoulo the issuance of such bonds be assented to by two-thirds of the qualified voters of Augusta arid should such amount of bonds be ascer tained to be within the limit of bonds authorized to he issued, under the Con stitutional Amendment as hereinafter fully set forth there shall be authorized to he Issued and sold by The < ity Coun cil of Augusta under the provisions of th s ordinance, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000) prlnclptl amount of bonds, the proceeds of which shall he used for the purpose of pro tection against floods. Such bonds shall he known as “City of Augusta Flood Protection Bonds of 1914,’’ shall he of the denomination of One Thousand Dollars ($.1000) #ach, shall hear date the first day of July, nineteen hundred and fourteen (1914), shall be payable as to the principal amount thirty years after date, shall bear interest at the rate of four and one-half per centum (4% per cent.) per annum, payable semi-annual ly on the first days of January and of July of each year, such Interest to be represented by coupons attached to said bonds, each coupon being for the sum of Twenty-two and 50-100 Dollars ($22.50)). shaJl be numbered from one thousand and one (1,001) to one thousand, seven hundred and fifty (1,750), both Inclusive, shall he ligthographed or engraved, sh'll he signed by the Mayor of Augusta, countersigned by the Clerk of Council, and have the Corporate Seal of the C'tV affixed thereto, and the coupons shall hear the lithographed or engraved sig nature of the present Clerk of Council.
