Such notice shall specify what amount of bonds are to he Issued, for wh?it purpose, what Interest they are to hear, how much principal and Interest to be paid annually and when to he fully pa d off. AH persons voting at. such election In favor of the Issuance of such bonds shall have writ ten or printed on their ballots the words "For bonds for the purpose of protection aga nst floods “ and all persons opposed to the Issuance of such bonds shall have written or printed on their ballots the words '‘Against bonds for ths purpose of protection against flood*." Section 2 .Should the issuance of such bonds be assented, to by two-thlrda of tha qualified voters of Augusta and should such amount of bonds be ascer tained to he within tho limit of bonds authorized to be issued, under the Con stitutional Amendment as hereinafter fully set forth there shall he authorized to tie issued and sold by The City Coun cil of Augusta under the provisions of this ordinance. Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollar* (|750,000) principal amount of bonds, the proceeds of which shall hs used for the purpose of pro tection against floods. Such bonds shall he known as “City of Augusta Flood Protection Ronrls of 1914," shall he of the denomination of One Thousand Dollars ($.1000) #ach, shall bear date the first day of July, nineteen hundred and fourteen (1914). shall be payable as to the principal amount thirty years after date, shall bear Interest at the rate of four and one-half per centum (4V6 per cent.) per annum, payable semi annual ly on the first days of January and of July of each year, such Interest to be represented by coupons attached to said bonds, each coupon being for the sum of Twenty-two and 50-100 Dollars tf22.RO)). shall be numhered from one thousand and one (1,001) to one thousand, seven hundred and fifty (1.7B0), both Inclusive, shall be llgthogr.iphcd or engraved, shall be signed by the Mayor of Augusta, countersigned bv the Clerk of Council, arid have the Corporate Peal of tho C'tv affixed thereto, and the coupons shall b<nr the lithographed or engraved sig nature of the present Clerk of Council, flnch principal end Interest shall be pay able at the office of the Treasurer of the City of Augusta; the Interest to be also payable at tho American Exchange National Bank.
