SUNDAY. JUNE 7- AN ACTIVE REAL ESTATE MARKET EXPECTED THIS SUMMER The people of Augusta and this sec tion who have been reading The Herald’s Real Estate Page and noting the groat activity in real estate during the past four months, are beginnig to ask if this activity is going to continue during the hot summer months 7 A conversaton with the progressive real estate agents of Augusta will im mediately dissipate any idea that the real estate market will be dull during the summer months, this year. in Augusta real estate have realized such handsome profits on their purchases in the past that they are greedy to seize the opportunity to buy property that is offered at anything like a low figure, whether the time is sum mer, gentle spring or dreary winter. No, there will be no dull, inactive real estate market this summer. The regular investors in real estate will alone keep the market in a healthy condition, and between now and October Ist, an army of renters, who have saved their earn ings. will come into the market ani bid freely on residential property that is offered at the right price. People who have paid rent notes year after year and have nothing but worth J. Hardwick Jackson Phone 3446. 409 Dyer Building. 9 HOW ABOUT THIS? PHONE No. 176 NOTICE I If you intend buying on The Hill, I will sell you practically your own price, and on your own terms, lots on Glenn Avenue and Highland Avenue. FOR RENT New House of ten rooms. Possession at once. Three Furnished Houses on Hill for summer. Pos session at once. i JOHN W. DICKEY less, canceled notes to show for their money, act wisely when they buy a home of their own and thereby rid them selves of rent collectors. A property owner not only has a feel ing of pride in owning the plot of land and house that he calls home, but in ad dition, he profits by the enhancement in value of his property; a renter prof ts by the enhancement in value of the property he occupies only by having bis rent raised. Ranters are beginning to realize these facts and are going to make every effort during the summer months to buy their own homes when ever the kind of place they wish, is of fered for sale. All things considered, it seems that there should lie a more ac tive market from now to October Ist, than during the previous four months. A prominent real estate man made a very true observation yesterday when, after suming things up, he said: "It is positively absurd for people to expect dullness in the real estate market this summer simply because it is summer. The three or four months preceding October should show the largest number of sales of any season of the year. "During these three or four months people are at fever heat worrying over I moving and where to move too. At no time of the year can a person be so strongly impressed with the fact that he should own his home as just before he must move. And the psychological time to sell a person any thing, is at the time when he sees the need of it. I certainly see no reason why we should n’t have a good business this summer, in fact, I am absolutely certain that we will."
