WERE SIMPLY HUNGRY.
Atlanta, Ga. Five cans of salmon, a
pitcher of Ice water and four loaves
of stale bread, ha a supper for twenty
three gills, lies at the bottom of a
rather pathetic scandal that has
sprung up in connection with the man
agement of the local Martha Home,
following the escape and recapture of
the three young girls who tied bed
sheets together and slid down from the
second story.
When Interviewed at the police sta
tion they sobbed out, "we didn't care
anything about escaping. We were
simply hungry and wanted to go some
where where we could get something
to eat."
