George Williams, a negro, was ar
rested early yesterday morning by Po
lice Sergeant Quarles and Officer
Martin, charged with chicken stealing.

of the missing chickens reported the

the alleged thief had been caught, he
informed the officers that at hast fifty
of his chickens had been taken.
Williams will have to answer for bis
misdemeanor to Judge live in the Fity
Court.
