Chinese Beqger Children a Nuisance in Paris Paris. —Paris has baen partly amus ed and partly Irritated during the last few weeks by the constantly in creasing numbers of tiny Chinese beggar children who begun to make their appearance on the boule vards. So-called “managers” arrange for consignments of them to be shipped from Chinese ports. Their employ ers send them out to sell paper fans, to do little juggling tricks with knives at the street corners, or to beg from the people sitting on toe terraces of the cases. Lately their incraeslng numbers have made the children a nuisance, A few days ago three of them enter ed a dealer’s shop. Two did their little performance of juggling while the third took a gold watch from the counter. The police are accordngly taking the children into custody and gathering them into batches to he sent hack to China by the Chinasd legation. COUGHING Ktep coughing: that’s on* way.
