The bride en tered with her brother, Mr. Frank M. Butt, who gave her in marriage, and was very lovely in a gown of white satin and tulle with touches of duchess lace. Her veil was caught with a chaplet of orange blossoms and the carried a shower bouquet of or chids and valley lilies. • The maid of honor wore a gown of shadow lace over a foundation of pale green chiffon. Their bridal bouquets were pink roses and pink gladioli sbow'ered with valley lilies. The reception iTall and parlors werj effectively decorated to carry out a color scheme of green and white. The stairway was garlanded with smi lax studded with clusters of Easter lilies and the mantels and cabinets were banked with the stately blos soms combined with fragrant white roses. Palms and ferne formed 3 pleasing background. Upon their return from a wedding trip of two weeks, Mr. and Mrs. King will be at home to their friends in the sumner apartments. MARRIAGE OF MISS BUTLER AND MR. I‘.AGIN. A quiet event of yesterday of in terest to numerous friends, was the marriage of Miss Minnie Butler and Mr. Harry Hagin, of Macon, the cere mony being performed by Rev. Ashby Jones yesterday at the Baptist par sonage. The bride wore a goingaway gown of blue crepe meteor with touches of duchess lace an ! a small blue hat. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Ha gin left for a northern trip before re turning to Macon, their future Tome, and in which city Mr. Hagin is a well known young insurance man. Mrs. Hagin is a daughter of Cap tain and Mrs. Butler of North Augusta and is a young woman whose numer ous friends are most regretful at her removal from North Augusta. The Macon News of yesterday says: Among the delightful affairs tendered Miss Mary Lyon and Miss Margaret Ad dison, of Augusta, who have been exten sively feted as the guests of Miss lola Wise, was the supper party with which Miss Winifred Wadley entertained Tues day evening at her lovely country home at Bollnghroke. The table was graced with a crystal bowl of yellow nasturtiums and aspara gus fern. - Covers were laid for Miss Addison, Miss Lyon, Miss lola Wise, Miss Georgia Bena Dodson, of Americus; Miss Fleta Holmes, Miss Winifred Kendall, Mr. Ben Gantt, Mr. John Lewis Holmes and Mr. Champ Holmes. • • • Miss Jane Mcßrier entertained infor mally at a bridge tea this afternoon at her home on College street in compli ment to Miss lola Wlße and her guests, Miss Mary Lyon and Miss Margaret Ad dison of Augusta, Miss Helen Wimber ley’s guest.
