The matter of naming a successor to
the late Lieutenant K. B. Hatcher was
not taken up at the meeting last night.
One of the matters ennslflered recent
ly was revoking of all licenses issued to
rahlmien In various parts of the city to
make arrests, which lleenses were grunt
ed prior to January Ist last. The rea
son for so doing was because there Is
no record of all the watchmen who have
been gi\ on the powers of policemen.

with having to apply for another license,
but those who seouVed licenses prior to
that time must secure a permit from the
civil service board.
