One man forfeited bond for exceeding the speed limit, another pleaded guilty thereof and would not make a statement. The two cases were disposed of in about fifty sec onds. Some body's goin’ to kill her!” ANNUAL CHICKEN SHOW AT FAIR, OCTOBER 19 TO 23 Meeting of Augusta Poultry Association Held Last Night When Plans Were Made. At a meeting of the Augusta Poul try Association held last night it was decided to hold the annual show this year In connection with the Georgia Carolina Fair. October 19th-23rd. It is a custom of the Association to rut on its exhibition with the fair. Last fall the chicken show was one of the big attractions at the fair, and by many of the fair patrons it was re garded as the biggest thing there. It was certainly greater than the shows of the past and in the same manner the show this fall is expected to even surpass last year's. The premium list will soon be made up and put into the hands of the prin ter for publication. It is believed now that every available foot of space in the large building will be taken some time before the date of opening. BUXTON CASE POSTPONED AGAIN; HEARING ON 23RD The preliminary hearing in the case of the United States vs. Thos. F. Bux ton, of Waynesboro, charged with em bezzling $7,000 of the money of the First National Bank in Waynesboro, of which he was cashier, has again been postponed from July 21st to July 23rd, on account of counsel for the defense haying other business out of town on the date set by U. Evans, celebrated her 10th birthday Wednesday afternoon at her home on Robinson avenue with a beautiful birthday party. Enjoyable games were played by the children, who were entertained on the lawn and ver anda. Delicious refreshments were served in the beautifully decorated dining room. There were two tables.
